  भारत से सरकार  क्रूड आयल की बढ़ती कीमतों से काफी परेशान थी,  भारत सरकार यह चाहती थी कि उसे क्रूड आयल की निर्भरता से छुटकारा मिले,  क्रूड आयल की बढ़ती कीमतें किसी भी देश की अर्थव्यवस्था को बहुत नुकसान पहुंचाती हैं,  वैसे भी ओपेक देशों की गुंडागर्दी से पूरी दुनिया परेशान है,  क्योंकि जब जब संकट इस दुनिया पर आया है तब तब ओपेक देशों ने सिर्फ अपना लाभ देखा है,

  रूस यूक्रेन की लड़ाई के बाद अमेरिका तथा यूरोप के देशों ने भारत के ऊपर बहुत अधिक दबाव बनाया था,  कि वह रूस से  कच्चे तेलों के आयात पर प्रतिबंध लगाए किंतु भारत सरकार की एक  सबसे बड़े विवशता  थी कि वह अरब देशों के ऊपर भरोसा कर नहीं सकती थी,  क्योंकि भारत सरकार अरब देशों की इतिहास को अच्छी तरीके से जानती है, कि अरब देश संकट के समय दुनिया को सिर्फ संकट देते हैं,  अरब देशों ने कभी भी दुनिया के संकट मोचन नहीं बने!

  ऐसी तमाम परिस्थितियों से जूझती हुई भारत सरकार को राजस्थान के सीकर में 12 मिलियन टन  यूरेनियम के भंडार मिले हैं, भारत सरकार यह चाहती है कि अगले 10 वर्षों में उसके यहां डीजल और पेट्रोल की ऊपर से निर्भरता भारत मे  कम हो जाए,  भारत अपनी यातायात की सभी व्यवस्थाओं को बिजली के ऊपर या हाइड्रोजन कार्बन के ऊपर निर्भर कर देना चाहता है,  किंतु बिजली बनाने के लिए भारत के पास पर्याप्त कोयला नहीं है!

  ऐसे में राजस्थान में यूरेनियम की मिले हुए बड़े भंडार किसी संजीवनी से कम नहीं है,  वहां पर अनुमान लगाया जा रहा है कि 12 मिलियन टन मिला हुआ यूरेनियम सिर्फ यह एक प्रथम शुरुआत है,  अभी इससे कई गुना अधिक यूरेनियम राजस्थान की जमीन में मिल जाएंगे

                                             वैसे भी यूरेनियम के लिए भारत कनाडा आस्ट्रेलिया रूस अफ्रीका के देशों पर निर्भर था,  किंतु भारत के राजस्थान में मिले  यूरेनियम भारत को एक सुपर पावर के रूप में विकसित अवश्य  कराएंगे क्योंकि ऊर्जा के एक के भविष्य के बड़े स्रोत को भारत ने खोज निकाला है
